- The web site has to be 'parked' on a server which is constantly connected to the Internet so that it can be accessed 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. The owner of the website has to pay for this service which is called Web Hosting.
- Q3: What is a Domain Name?
- It is the name you type into a web browser, such as www.g-web.co.uk, also known as a URL (Universal Resource Locator.) Unfortunately this has to be paid for as well, it is also registered to make sure no-one else can use the name.

- Q5: How long will it all take?
- It's very difficult to say how long it takes to design and construct a web site, it all depends on how big, how complicated the site is and how many alterations need to be done after construction. If you look at the printable information sheet, (see Q4) the suggestions there will help to minimise time taken, and therefore, cost. - Q6: Can I have an E-Commerce website?
- Yes, no problem. We can set up payment facilities, databases of goods, contact forms, shopping cart etc, in fact all you need to get online selling your goods and services. This is significantly more time consuming than a simple advertising or information site, and so more time will need to be allowed to construct and set up the site.
- Q7: Will people be able to find my website?
- We will submit your site to all the major search engines and any specialist lists you specify. We will add code within the site to optimise it to be as easily found as possible.
- Q8: What is a 'Multimedia' website?
- It is a site that contains sound, music, video or a combination of these elements. We can create these elements and include them in your website.
- Q9: Will g-web design Adult content websites?
- No, neither will we do anything illegal, or spread viruses, or create covert advertising.
