The principal designer at g-web is Robin Garside who originally studied as an artist, photographer and graphic designer and, seeing the potential of the world wide web, added web site design to his skills. He has taught computing and web site design at various colleges around his native South Yorkshire and with the Workers Educational Association. His speciality is in fast- loading, easily navigated sites which are attractive, functional and sometimes fun! Robin is also fully familiar with digital photography, photo editing, sound editing and the creation of multimedia web sites. We can also call on the skills of specialists who can add other elements to your web site, such as databases, videos, flash animations or E-Commerce. If it's out there to be put on a web site, you can have it.
Let's not forget paper in this technological rush to get on the Internet, we can provide artwork and handle printed advertising as well. It's often neccessary to have paper advertising to let your customers know you have a web site.
Although the design of this page could be considered to be frivolous, it shows what can be done with a little imagination. The text colour on the link buttons on the left is changed by a Java script which gives a dynamic aspect to the page without appreciably increasing its download time. The background of stars is a small image which repeats giving the illusion of space. The picture of Robin Garside 'beaming up' is a small animated gif.
